How Aframe helped ONE
The ONE Campaign is an international non-profit organisation that fights extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa.
Ahead of 2011’s G20 summit, ONE campaigned to ensure the leaders of the wealthiest countries kept to their promise to provide $22 billion for agriculture and hunger by making a series of short films featuring celebrities including George Clooney, Bono, Jessica Alba, and Bill Nighy. The footage was recorded in different locations and several versions were created to work within different international markets. The project team’s main stumbling block was getting the filmed material to the edit team in the US within a very short timeframe. ONE turned to Aframe to help distribute the content quickly with the edit team, as well as provide viewing copies for the senior management team at ONE.
“Using Aframe allowed us to share access with several different senior people that wouldn’t have happened if we had sent the disk by courier. The ability to view the content is a big advantage over standard online file sharing services” commented ONE’s Production Manager, Kaz Patwa.
