Application Security
The Aframe app is encrypted with SSL at all times. Look for the padlock icon in your browser and "https" in your address bar.
We also use an extended validation SSL certificate. This means that our corporate identity and place of business has been verified by the SSL certificate company. Look for the green box in your browser that says "Aframe Media Services Limited".
We've thoroughly tested all parts of our website against numerous attack vectors such as SQL Injection attacks and Cross Site Scripting attacks.

Server Security
Access to data on Aframe servers is encrypted to industry standard levels. Aframe's datacenters are protected by sophisticated firewalls which are regularly tested.

Server Security - Software
At Aframe we firmly believe that data is not safe unless it is verified to be stored in at least two locations. Therefore any asset stored with us is replicated at a twin site, regardless of where it was ingested.
Access to Aframe's live servers at a software level is controlled by a 2048 bit RSA key. Only three senior members of the Aframe team have these keys, and we keep a thorough audit log of any actions performed on our live servers.
If you’re physically in front of one of our servers at an Aframe data centre (once you've satisfied the security requirements detailed below) you’d still have to know the administrative password to log onto one of our servers. Again, this is only held by three senior members of the Aframe team.

Network Protection
Direct site-to-site high-speed fibre lines connect Aframe's datacenters. Network lines and the servers where they terminate are exclusively dedicated for Aframe's use.

Security of our Network Connections
The network connections between Aframe's data centers and our offices are dedicated links belonging to Aframe. We don't share them with anyone else, and we are the only people who use them. They are direct site-to-site high speed connections which terminate at networking equipment owned and administered by Aframe.

Store something in Aframe and know it will be housed within highly secure datacenters in locked racks. Automatic data replication ensures files are backed up hundreds of miles apart, at opposite ends of the country.

Security of your Physical Media
All of our servers are housed within highly secure data centers in locked racks. To access one of Aframe's data centres, you must be in possession of a Photo ID issued by the data centre, and must pass through multiple fingerprint scanners.
Aframe's data centres are monitored 24 hours a day by CCTV and on-site security staff.
All Aframe's data centers are designed to the highest possible standards of reliability to withstand and maintain service in the event of natural or manmade disasters. Even when the mains power has been cut, our data centers switch power supply to a set of in-house generators to keep the systems up.

Footage Privacy
Add some footage to Aframe and choose who should have access. That includes Aframe staff who can only see your video if you say so.

Privacy of your Media
The only circumstances under which a member of Aframe's staff will view your media is if there has been a problem with the ingest process which gets your media into the system. In this case, we'll view the original and ingested files to identify the issue and work with you to solve it.
If you've given us your media on tape or disk drive to ingest, rest assured that is secure too. We keep all media in a locked safe before and after the ingest process.

Reliability is built into our DNA. Aframe has been designed to be available all of the time, regardless of what else is happening. To date, we’ve never had any unscheduled downtime.
Fixes and small updates are deployed automatically without you noticing, but from time to time we need to take Aframe offline for maintenance or major upgrades. When this happens we always give you plenty of notice and schedule it outside normal working hours.
If we do go offline for reasons beyond our control, your data is 100% safe and fully backed up. Furthermore, our SLA provides you with complete peace of mind that you’re getting value for money, as we’ll offer you a credit on your fees.
